Meet Dr. Dao

Adam Dao, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases of the cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK. He grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Dao received his medical degree from the McGovern Medical School in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he learned advanced techniques in cataract surgery and the latest intraocular lens technology. He continued his training in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, perennially ranked as one of the top ophthalmology programs in the nation.

Dr. Dao specializes in all aspects of comprehensive and corneal ophthalmology, including complex cataract surgery with insertion of premium intraocular lenses such as the Alcon PanOptix and Johnson and Johnson Extended depth of focus and Multifocal lenses, pterygium surgery, full- and partial-thickness corneal transplants (DALK and DSEK), and is an expert in LASIK and PRK surgery to treat astigmatism and near-and far-sightedness. Dr. Dao’s treatment philosophy is to treat each and every patient with the same personalized attention and care as he would his own family member. He believes in patient empowerment and believes that the ophthalmologist and patient are a team with the shared goal of maximizing vision and quality of life and has performed more than 10,000 ophthalmological procedures and surgeries.

Dr. Dao likes playing tennis, hiking, going to the beach, and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He is also the proud dad of two spunky Pomeranians, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.

Meet Dr. Eck

Thomas W. Eck, M.D. is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of eye disease, including cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye syndrome.

Dr. Eck attended college at Christ Church College in Oxford University and the College of New Jersey, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He went to Rutgers University/New Jersey Medical School, where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha at the top of his class. He completed his internship year at Yale Medical School and his ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, perennially ranked as one of the top ophthalmology programs in the country. Dr. Eck is an expert at complex cataract surgery.

Dr. Eck is particularly interested in glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology and complex cataract surgery. He is experienced in implanting the newest generation artificial lenses, including Alcon’s PanOptix, Vivity, and Johnson and Johnson’s Symfony.

Dr. Eck's hobbies include running, being outside in the California sunshine, learning foreign languages, and traveling with friends and family. He is fluent in Spanish and French and is conversational in Latin.
